Facts & Figures

La Bricchetta:
  • Compresses wood and other biomass waste as well as various metals by 2-10X depending on the material used.

  • Demonstrates environmental leadership in it's market. It reduces haulage and storage costs which in turn cut down on oil consumption and increase profit margins.

  • Promotes environmentally friendly waste management. Mismanagement of wood waste can produce a toxic substance called leachate which kills surrounding aquatic environments.

  • Clears up microscopic waste particles that are dangerous when inhaled. This increases worker safety and potentially morale.

  • Creates briquettes.

The Briquettes:
  • Burn 2X as hot as regular firewood.

  • Do not pop or crack as there is no alcohol (which makes traditional firewood pop and crack) in the compressed logs.

  • Is cleaner and more attractive to the consumer. Briquettes do not come with bugs and other unsanitary additions.

  • Produces less Carbon Dioxide than other fuels. The same amount of Carbon Dioxide is released burning the wood compared to the wood naturally decomposing in the forest.

  • Have less creosote and burns cleaner than traditional firewood.

  • Are a 'renewable resource'.

More than a third of the world population use forms of biomass for cooking and heating. With the increasing need for re-newable resources briquetting gives wood mills, pulp factories and farms the opportunity to diversify their business unit portfolios' and increase their profit margins by either re-selling their briquettes or at the minimum, use the briquettes to reheat their plants or generate energy.
